Where attention goes energy flows

In this hedonistic era where mankind is infatuated with entertainment and technology, rather then being enticed by the pursuit of a purposeful and wise life, the inclination towards focusing on what is mundane and trivial has become paramount throughout modern society, whereas the importance of knowing the value of where to place our attention and time to create a fulfilling life has been overlooked.

As this modern world is oversaturated with an influx of opinions, stemming from adolescent minds who are desirous for attention and recognition from others for their sense of self-worth, those who are drawn towards the mire of drama and gossip, with the inevitable conflict and uncivility that ensues, enter into a hotbed where their emotions and peace of mind are stirred and disturbed.

As it is not beneficial to draw our attention towards what is not part of our business and does not concern us, we should therefore take into diligent consideration, what are we giving our attention and time towards each day, for what can help aspire, elevate, encourage and inspire us on our life journey is of great benefit to our wellbeing, but what is discouraging, dismal and disastrous towards our mood, while offering nothing of substance and value to be gained, such as a lesson to be learnt or important knowledge to be understood, should be shunned with deliberate intent.

As our state of mind which is expressed in the form of our attitude and mood, is a precious and sensitive attribute which has the potential to be influenced greatly and suddenly by what we encounter and come into contact with, it should not be taken lightly and should be diligently guarded from the onset of malignant minds and nonsensical thoughts.

As what we give our attention towards, we also give our life and mind to consequently. It is therefore in our best interest to be consciously aware of where we are placing our focus and energies towards each day, for time is a precious and finite resource which is expended but cannot be reacquired, with our state of mind being a crucial element that is vital to our happiness and wellbeing in life.

By refusing to place our awareness and not direct our attention towards the charade of drama which occurs in the lives of others which are not our concern, by choosing to not view entertainment which is idiotic, nonsensical and disturbs our peace of mind, we are honoring the sanctity and wellbeing of our heart and mind, which are to be directed towards creating and experiencing a fulfilling and prosperous life.

As throughout the course of our life journey, we shall inevitably experience our own conflict and drama that ensues from living out our life purpose and encountering minds who conflict with our own ideals and personality, but through choosing to give our attention to what inspires and serves us, rather then agitates and disturbs our wellbeing, we are protecting our energies and safeguarding our mood. It is therefore wise to be considerate of where we place our attention and direct our energies throughout the grand odyssey of life.
